Fabric care instruction: Lamé is a metallic fabric that should be dry cleaned only. Some cleaners have more experience with lamé garments, so it’s best to find one that specialises in this type of fabric. Heat can melt the metallic fibres in lamé, so you should avoid ironing, using a clothes dryer, or exposing lamé to direct sunlight. If you need to remove wrinkles, you can use an iron on the lowest setting and press from the wrong side of the garment. You can also use a pressing cloth between the fabric and the iron. Moisture can cause the metallic yarn to tarnish, so you should keep lamé in a dry place.
